Clint, Bob and Dave Moffatt Interview

During their busy promotion of Submodalities, three members of The Moffatts—triplets Clint, Bob and Dave—take the time to site down in Sweden to talk. Listen in as the boys talk about their feelings for Napster, piercings and each other.
Which songs on Submodalities are your personal favorites?
Clint Moffatt: My personal favorites are California, Walking Behind and I Don't Want You To Want Me.
Bob Moffatt: Just Another Phase, Walking Behind and I Don't Want You To Want Me.
Dave Moffatt: Antifreeze and Aeroplanes, Just Another Phase and I Don't Want You To Want Me.
Why did you decide to get piercings?
Bob: We just woke up one day and said "We want piercings." Clint came up with the idea first and he wanted earring, so we got him that. And after that, Dave wanted a piercing, so he got one...
Dave: And then Bob got one because we got one!
Bob: No! I thought of mine at the same time, but I didn't want to get what Clint got, so I waited until he got the second one. Then I got mine.
Dave: No, he did it because we got them. He was nervous! (Laughs)
What's the funniest rumor you've ever heard about yourselves?
Dave: That we had died on the wa-
Bob: That wasn't really a funny rumor. That was the most popular rumor.
Dave: There are no funny rumors!
Clint: There was these anti-Moffatt pages and it said that I married E.T. and Bob married Martha Stewart.
Dave: Clint, those aren't rumors!
Clint: I think they're rumors...
Dave: They're jokes, Clint!
Clint: They're kind of rumors.
Dave: Yeah, whatever.

Who's the most overrated band around?
Bob: Overrated band?
Dave: S Club 7!
Bob: Because of the fact that—they actually showed this on CNN—that one of the guys in the band had the manager signing autographs for him and to me that makes the band overrated, you know? An autograph for a fan is something that they cherish for a long time, something that they like and if you get someone else to do that for you, that's fake!
I would say so. Which of your own videos is your personal favorite and why?
Clint: Probably the new one, Just Another Phase. It's a cool video.
Bob: The same.
Dave: Me too.
What's the one thing you can't live without?
Bob: Music! I think music is the universal language. We only know how to speak one language and that's English, but we can sing it to people all over the world and maybe they don't know it as well, but they can understand it and sing along to it.
What's the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you?
Bob: When I found out that Dave was my brother.
Dave: Likewise.
Clint: We don't really get embarrassed anymore.
Bob: I think we've learned how to get over embarrassing situations and make them funny, so we don't really get embarrassed anymore.

What's your three favorite things about Sweden?
Bob: Swedish people, Swedish girls and you have really great hockey players over here!
What was the last movie that you saw?
Clint: Me, Myself and Irene.
Dave: The last one I saw was Stigmata.
Dave: No, actually the last movie I saw was American Beauty.
How was Denmark?
Bob: We spent six days there. We had two working days and three days off.
Bob, that's five days!
Bob: Oh (laughs). The hotel was really nice. We didn't really walk around that much. We saw The Little Mermaid. That´s about it.
When did you arrive in Gothenburg?
Clint: Two days ago...the 27th I think.
Dave: Yep.
Did you enjoy playing on Bingolotto? (Swedish game show)
Dave: It was good! I played and I won!
How much did you win?
Dave: I won 100 krowns...What's your money called?
Kronor!
Dave: Okay, I can't pronounce that. (Laughs)

Bob, you and Scott did an interview with our magazine in Canada and you talked about Napster. I think Scott talked the most, but what do you think about it?
Bob: Napster sucks!
Clint: Everyone that's for Napster is doing it for publicity.
Dave: Yeah, because no one should be for Napster!
On your official site, it says that you'll be doing a European tour in May and June...
Clint: We're doing a German tour starting November 7th and then we're going to Asia.
Dave: But she said next year, so I'm thinking...
Bob: We're only booked up until June 30th right now.
You're going to Finland, right?
Dave: Yup.

What will you be doing there?
Clint: Some promo, I think.
Bob: You know what? Maybe we are coming back to do a tour because we're booked up until June, so we might be coming back. Maybe it's on the schedule...
It says European tour.
Bob: Right because we're doing...how do you guys find out these things?
It's on your official site!
Bob: Oh, it's on out website?
(Everyone laughs at him)
Bob: Okay, all of you need to go to your schools and tell your friends that they need to go buy The Moffatts' new album otherwise you won't be their friends anymore. (Laughs)
