We look on the cover and see Nelly Furtado lying on the grass, casually, staring back at us. Immediately, we get the sense that the album might have a folk touch to it. Each track equally inviting and endearing, encourages you to keep listening, well aware that the song you're about to hear sounds nothing like the one you've just finished listening to. Whoa, Nelly! is an amazing debut album filled with potential hits, one after another. We found her to be suprisingly refreshing with her voice that delivers perfect timing every time, all the time. Her lyrics are driven and clever and her harmonies are worth taking note of.
