TYCP Magazine is the leading online entertainment magazine for young people. We have been online since 1999 and continue to grow. We are currently looking for young adults to be a part of the staff. Positions are serious, but strictly voluntary, so you will not get paid (this will change in the near future.) However, you will be able to build up your resume and have your work be seen by thousands of people all over the world.

Available Positions

Interviews — 4 positions open
Set up interviews with different celebrities (this includes attending film premieres, award events, press junkets and setting up phone interviews.) It also includes interviewing those that work behind-the-scenes for our Behind the Spotlight feature, interviewing celebrities that haven't been MIA for the Catching Up With... feature and interviewing international celebrities for our Hot Imports feature. Having your own connections is a major plus.

Recapped Editor
"Recapped" is a brand new feature on the magazine. We’re looking for a TV show addict who is good writer and will be able give recaps on TV shows daily.

Videographers — 3 positions open
Videotape interviews and catch fun happenings backstage at concerts, award events, etc. Connections are a plus.

On Location Editor
If you are one who makes trips to film/music video sets and have the ability to get exclusive information, this job is for you.

Event Reviews — 2 positions open
If you like attending concerts and award events on a regular basis, you may be interested in this. Connections are a plus. Photos may also be taken to go along with your article.

Album Reviews — 2 positions open
Give your honest opinion about different albums whether they are good or bad and rate them between 1-5 stars.

Photographers — 3 positions open
Take pictures at concerts, award events, press junkets, film premieres and more. Connections are a major plus.

Political Drive Editor
Give your unbiased opinions about anything related to politics.

Let's Get Tech Editor
Are you a technology geek who is always up on the latest gadgets before they even hit the streets? Why not give this job a shot?

You've Gotta Have It Editor
Write about different products and explain why readers should purchase them. A fun job for shopping addicts.

Publicist
Get in touch with talk shows, etc. to book interviews with any them and any other press, who are interested in covering the magazine. Having your own connections is required.

Socialize Moderators — 2 positions open
You must be willing to post and make sure things run smoothly on the TYCP VIP message boards (being a moderator will automatically make you an Icon TYCP VIP member.)

Correspondents (UK, France, Italy, Canada, Japan) — 5 positions open
Being a Correspondent means that you can cover anything entertainment-related in your country. They can be interviews, reviews of events you attended, photos and more.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the age requirements?
You must be between 18 to 30-years old to apply.

What about spelling and grammar?
We require that your spelling and grammar be impeccable. Typos are bound to happen, but your spelling and grammar must be top-notch most of the time.

How many articles does one have to send in each week?
At least 1-2 articles is required every week. You may also send up to 4 if you wish, but 1-2 is the requirement.

What sample article do I have to write if I want a writing job?
Your article has to be related to the job you want. For example, if you are interested in becoming an album reviewer, you must submit a short article about an album. It does not have to be recent and can be from any period of time. You also have to rate it (1-5 stars or Gold/Platinum/Diamond for albums you believe are brilliant.)

What can I send as a sample if I want to be a Photographer?
If you're interested in being a photographer, you can type in direct links to photos you have taken.

If I become an Interviewer, can I interview anyone I want?
If there is someone you want to interview, all you have to do is clear it with Editor-In-Chief Sha Hartley first. There are no restrictions on who you can interview, as we want to be as diverse as possible.

Please make sure to fill out each field correctly. Incomplete information will automatically be discarded. Keep in mind that you must be willing to travel around if you are interested in becoming an interviewer, photographer, videographer or event reviewer.
